these standards: all our products
are produced using pure clay.
Apavisa also works with the USA.
Regulations here stipulate that a
company’s products can only be
sold if they are made up of 20 %
recycled materials. We have a number
of collections, therefore, entirely
produced using recycled materials.
Apavisa’s production process itself
is environmentally sound: it
doesn’t pollute the atmosphere
with smoke, water is recycled and
power is generated on site.
Did you use well-known designers
for the collections?
Yes, and no. It is not so much
the design but also the technology
which comes into play when
making the technical ceramic granite.
We take ideas for design from
the air and the earth. Our business
manager brought back the
‘slate stone’ design from Norway,
for example. We still have an idea
for using ‘Australian granite’ , but
this depends on putting the correct
technology into practice.
We use designers for stand design
and preparation, brochures and
catalogues.
What’s new this season?
We’ve created the new ‘Vintage’
collection – imitation antique
wood with a distressed finish. We
now have a versatile range, with
the use of different textures and
colour shades, decorative features
and mosaics.
We are also showing the ‘Anarchy’
collection. This is a provocative mix
of shapes, colours and materials. The
90x90 format has been applied here
for the first time and new varieties
of mosaics. The ‘Anarchy’ collection
features gold, silver and bronze
tones. This collection is something
‘out of the ordinary’.
Apavisa’s company catalogue currently
contains several patented
shapes and designs, including the
dome-shaped square and hexagon,
the diagonal and the incurvate tile.
We also have a collection produced
using the ionisation technique. It’s
real gold, silver and bronze. We
have presented all types of surface
finishes and textures capable of
conveying the charm of polished
items or objects.
What results do you expect to
see from MosBuild?
Our objective is to present as
much complete information as
possible. The full product range
can be viewed only at the exhibition
where clients come from
different cities and countries and
choose what suits them. Apavisa
attends this event to support its
dealers: they all work with smaller
organisations within their respective
regions. And of course we also
show at MosBuild for architects
and designers, who constitute our
primary audience.
Last year was very successful for
Apavisa – we demonstrated the
three-dimensional configurations for
the first time and the interest in our
stand was considerable – no one else
was displaying anything at all like it.
MosBuild is one of the most important
trade shows for Apavisa.
Russia is a big country and not
everyone gets to Paris, Madrid,
Barcelona or Bologna, but everyone
comes to MosBuild.
