Laser Training
for Licensed Estheticians
This hands-on program focuses on the use
of medical lasers for the Esthetician. Review
laser basics, theory and safety. Topics include:
the capabilities of the Esthetician in different
venues such as physician’s office or Medispa
as well as clinical applications and practice
methods regarding laser hair removal, skin
rejuvenation, skin tightening and treatment
of pigmented skin lesions. Review clinical
application of laser in conjunction with
other esthetic techniques to maximize
client satisfaction. Focus on prevention of
complications, and management of client
expectations. Upon completion, you will be
able to identify appropriate candidates for laser
treatment, counsel the patient on anticipated
response to treatment, and demonstrate
familiarity with available technology. Taught
by licensed estheticians on M/Tu at Wilson
Tech NPT and W-F at Contemporary Laser,
a division of Contemporary Women’s Care
of Islandia.

Post-Mortem Cosmetology
This class will bring to life the true meaning
of cosmetic artistry. Making the deceased look
like they did before they passed away will help
family and friends with their final good-byes,
and ease their loss. If you are interested in this
profession, or would like advanced training
in the art of make-up as a Mortuary Science
student, this is the class for you. Instructor
will set up field trips to local funeral homes.
Cosmetology license preferred. See page 9 for
