Do you have an excursion but forgotten the permission form?
You can get a copy of all excursion forms from the
Copperfield College Website.
Click to the ‘News and Events’ on the top line of the website.
Select “Permissions—Sydenham”
Select the excursion you want
and return completed form to you teacher.

E Newsletter
Copperfield College has a commitment to improving the environment we live in. With this in mind we are phasing out printing our
newsletters and introducing electronic distribution. As from2013 we will be emailing newsletters directly to families and friends of
the College. Printed copies will only be available from the General Office at each campus. This initiative will also reduce our paper
and postage costs.

In Victoria education is compulsory for children aged between 6 and 16. When students are enrolled, it is expected they will attend
every day of each term.
Parents will receive notification of any student-free days.
It is crucial that students develop habits of regular attendance at an early age. This includes arriving at school, and each class, on time.
Students who regularly miss days of school are at risk of missing out on learning the basic building blocks in subjects, and may
experience long term difficulties with their learning.
School attendance helps students develop social skills, such as friendship building, team work, communication skills and healthy selfesteem.
An absence from school requires a doctor’s certificate or note of explanation that has been written and signed by a
parent/guardian. The note should accompany the student on the first day they return to school after the absence. If the
absence is expected to be longer than one day, please notify Lorraine on 9361 3891.
