65.1.4 a parcel lodged for domestic carriage where parcels may be carried by air,<br />
shall have affixed to it a declaration (in the form and manner specified by <strong>Australia</strong><br />
<strong>Post</strong>) from the sender certifying that the article does not contain any dangerous or<br />
prohibited goods.<br />
65.2 Where an article contains a dangerous good which is permitted to be carried by post<br />
under clause 66, then the article shall have affixed to it the appropriate label and<br />
Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods, in the form and manner specified by<br />
<strong>Australia</strong> <strong>Post</strong>, duly completed by the sender.<br />
66 Live creatures<br />
66.1 Live creatures shall not be lodged for carriage by post except as permitted by clause<br />
66.2.<br />
66.2 Live bees, silkworms, leeches and harmless insects may be carried by post for delivery<br />
within <strong>Australia</strong> providing:<br />
66.2.1 their carriage across state or territory borders is not restricted by a law of the<br />
Commonwealth, a State or Territory;<br />
66.2.2 the sender makes application to <strong>Australia</strong> <strong>Post</strong> for the carriage of an article<br />
containing live bees, silkworms, leeches or harmless insects, by the separate<br />
bag service;<br />
66.2.3 an article lodged for carriage by the separate bag service shall have the<br />
words "Separate Bag" legibly written or printed in the top left-hand corner of<br />
the surface on which the article is addressed;<br />
66.2.4 subject to clause 66.2.5, where an article is carried by the separate bag<br />
service, a fee as determined by <strong>Australia</strong> <strong>Post</strong> for that purpose is paid in<br />
addition to the postage otherwise payable for the carriage of the article;<br />
66.2.5 where a person lodges more than one article for carriage by the separate bag<br />
service to the same office of delivery, all articles so lodged at the one time<br />
shall be carried for a single fee; and<br />
66.2.6 the contents are packed and presented in the manner prescribed in the<br />
current Technical Instructions of the Civil Aviation Organisation as reflected in<br />
the IATA Live Animal Regulations.<br />
66.3 An article lodged under the separate bag service may be carried by <strong>Australia</strong> <strong>Post</strong><br />
without being enclosed in another bag.<br />
66.4 Live bees, silkworms, silkworm eggs, leeches and parasites and destroyers of noxious<br />
insects intended for the control of those insects may be carried by post for delivery<br />
outside <strong>Australia</strong> providing, if the article is not covered under Extra Cover:<br />
66.4.1 the contents are packed in the manner prescribed in the current Technical<br />
Instructions of the Civil Aviation Organisation as reflected in the IATA Live<br />
Animal Regulations;<br />
66.4.2 where the article contains silkworm eggs, the contents must first be packed in<br />
a cardboard box or plastic or cloth bag, and unless otherwise agreed, packed<br />
and presented in the manner prescribed in the IATA Live Animal Regulations;<br />
