1 - 22 Corkish - Diirect Family History, Volume IV 1.28.3 William Henry Corkish (3442) was born circa 1858 at Bride. In 1861–71 he was living with his parents at Bride. Possibly married and living at Arecdon, Cumberland, in 1881 though the recorded age is too old by six years. 1.28.4 Robert John Corkish (3443) was baptized on the 24th of November, 1861, at Bride. In 1871 he was living with his parents at Bride. In 1881 he was boarding with the Knox family at Spout House, Foundry Road, Parton, Cumberland and working as a labourer in the coal pits. 1.28.5 Charles Edward Corkish (3444) was baptized on the 18th of December, 1864, at Bride. In 1871 he was living with his parents at Bride. A seaman aboard “Dauntless” at Milford Haven in 1881. 1.28.6 Ann Elizabeth Corkish (3445) was born circa 1866 at Bride. In 1871 she was living with her parents at Bride. In 1881 she was living with her widowered father at Hensingham, Cumberland. It is noted that her age was given as 12 years which would be correct for Margaret Elizabeth, below. 1.28.7 Margaret Elizabeth Corkish (3446) was baptized on the 19th of April, 1868, at Bride. In 1871 she was living with her parents at Bride. Not found in the 1881 census. 1.29 The Children of Henry Corkish & Elizabeth Kissack continued from 1.47.2, FGF CK–2 Number &Name Type & Birthdate Place/Notes 3751 Esther Susan B 19th Jan 1840 Lezayre 3752 Catherine Ann B 11th Jun 1843 Lonan 1.29.1 Esther Susan Corkish (3751) was baptized on the 19th of January, 1840, at Lezayre. She married Thomas Cleator (see 12.10.4) on the 17th of May, 1863, at Maughold. She was buried at Maughold on the 4th of March, 1932, when her age was recorded as 92 years. See 12.512.11 for details of her descendants. In 1841 she was living with her parents at Ballajeacn, Lonan. In 1851 she was living with her parents at 5, Shaws Brow, Douglas. In 1861 she was living, unmarried, with her parents as Crott–e–Quill, Lonan, together with her son of 4 months, Thomas Henry Cleator. In 1871 she is living with her family at Dhoon, Maughold. In 1881 the family were living at Cooil Erd, Maughold. In 1891 the family were living at Ballaghteragh, Lezayre. In 1901 the family were living at Glenauldyn, Lezayre. 1.29.2 Catherine Ann Corkish (3752) was baptized on the 11th of June, 1843, at Lonan. Not yet found in 1851 census. She married James Hudgeon (Hutchin) on the 3rd of January, 1861, at Lonan. At the 1861 census she and her husband were living with her parents at Crott-e-Quill, Lonan. Not found in 1871 census. 1.29.2.1 James Hudgeon (5038) was baptized on the 22nd of January, 1828, at Rushen, the son of Henry Hudgeon & Esther Watterson. He married Catherine Ann Corkish on the 3rd of January, 1861, at Lonan. 1.29.2.1.1 In 1841 he was living with his parents at Ballachurry, Rushen. His father’s name was not recorded at the baptism (under Corkish) but the 1861 census shows him living with his unmarried mother at Surby. 1.30.2 Catherine Corkish (4989) was baptized on the 28th of May, 1848, at Rushen. She was baptized as Corkish but was subsequently known as Tugdale. In 1851 she was living with her grand–parents when her name was recorded as Tugdale. In 1861 she was living with her widowed grand–mother at Surby. She has not been found in the 1871 census under her maiden names(s). A possible marriage to William Cain on the 24th of January, 1870, at Braddan. 1.30.3 William Kennaugh (4990) was baptized on the 17th of August, 1856, at Rushen. His father’s name was not recorded at the baptism (under Corkish) but the 1861 census shows him living with his unmarried mother at Surby. 1.30.4 James Corkish (4991) was baptized on the 27th of January, 1867, at Andreas. Only his mother’s name was given at the baptism. He has not been identified in the 1871 census. 1.31 The Children of John Costean & Jane Corkish continued from 1.9.5, FGF CK–49 Number &Name Type & Birthdate Place/Notes 2305 Ann B 31st Jul 1803 Arbory 2306 Isabel B 21st Jul 1811 Arbory 2307 John B 16th Dec 1815 Arbory 2308 John B 3rd May 1817 Arbory 2309 Mary B 23rd Sep 1818 Arbory 1.31.1 Ann Costean (2305) was baptized on the 31st of July, 1803, at Arbory. No further details are available. 1.31.2 Isabel Costean (2306) was baptized on the 21st of July, 1811, at Arbory. No further details are available. 1.31.3 John Costean (2307) was baptized on the on the 16th of December, 1815, at Arbory. He did not survive infancy, though a burial has not been located. 1.31.4 John Costean (2308) was baptized on the 3rd of May, 1817, at Arbory. No further details are available. 1.31.5 Mary Costean (2309) was baptized on the 23rd of September, 1818, at Arbory. No further details are available.
