1.28.3 William Henry <strong>Corkish</strong> (3442) was born circa 1858 at Bride. In 1861–71 he was<br />

living with his parents at Bride. Possibly married and living at Arecdon,<br />

Cumberland, in 1881 though the recorded age is too old by six years.<br />

1.28.4 Robert John <strong>Corkish</strong> (3443) was baptized on the 24th <strong>of</strong> November, 1861, at<br />

Bride. In 1871 he was living with his parents at Bride. In 1881 he was boarding with<br />

the Knox family at Spout House, Foundry Road, Parton, Cumberland and working<br />

as a labourer in the coal pits.<br />

1.28.5 Charles Edward <strong>Corkish</strong> (3444) was baptized on the 18th <strong>of</strong> December, 1864, at<br />

Bride. In 1871 he was living with his parents at Bride. A seaman aboard “Dauntless”<br />

at Milford Haven in 1881.<br />

1.28.6 Ann Elizabeth <strong>Corkish</strong> (3445) was born circa 1866 at Bride. In 1871 she was<br />

living with her parents at Bride. In 1881 she was living with her widowered father<br />

at Hensingham, Cumberland. It is noted that her age was given as 12 years which<br />

would be correct for Margaret Elizabeth, below.<br />

1.28.7 Margaret Elizabeth <strong>Corkish</strong> (3446) was baptized on the 19th <strong>of</strong> April, 1868, at<br />

Bride. In 1871 she was living with her parents at Bride. Not found in the 1881<br />

census.<br />

1.29.1 Esther Susan <strong>Corkish</strong> (3751) was baptized on the 19th <strong>of</strong> January, 1840, at<br />

Lezayre. She married Thomas Cleator (see 12.10.4) on the 17th <strong>of</strong> May, 1863, at<br />

Maughold. She was buried at Maughold on the 4th <strong>of</strong> March, 1932, when her age<br />

was recorded as 92 years. See 12.512.11 for details <strong>of</strong> her descendants.<br />

In 1841 she was living with her parents at Ballajeacn, Lonan. In 1851 she was living<br />

with her parents at 5, Shaws Brow, Douglas. In 1861 she was living, unmarried,<br />

with her parents as Crott–e–Quill, Lonan, together with her son <strong>of</strong> 4 months,<br />

Thomas Henry Cleator. In 1871 she is living with her family at Dhoon, Maughold.<br />

In 1881 the family were living at Cooil Erd, Maughold. In 1891 the family were<br />

living at Ballaghteragh, Lezayre. In 1901 the family were living at Glenauldyn,<br />

Lezayre.<br />

1.29.2 Catherine Ann <strong>Corkish</strong> (3752) was baptized on the 11th <strong>of</strong> June, 1843, at Lonan.<br />

Not yet found in 1851 census. She married James Hudgeon (Hutchin) on the 3rd <strong>of</strong><br />

January, 1861, at Lonan. At the 1861 census she and her husband were living with<br />

her parents at Crott-e-Quill, Lonan. Not found in 1871 census.<br />

1.29.2.1 James Hudgeon (5038) was baptized on the 22nd <strong>of</strong> January, 1828, at Rushen,<br />

the son <strong>of</strong> Henry Hudgeon & Esther Watterson. He married Catherine Ann <strong>Corkish</strong><br />

on the 3rd <strong>of</strong> January, 1861, at Lonan.<br />

1.29.2.1.1 In 1841 he was living with his parents at Ballachurry, Rushen. In 1851 he was living<br />

with his parents at Knockaloe, Patrick, when he was employed as a shoemaker.<br />
