1 - 28 Corkish - Diirect Family History, Volume IV 1.35.4.2 Walter Davis (7152) was born circa 1863. He married Emily Sophia Watterson on the 25th of June, 1891, at Malew. He was buried on the 16th of May, 1893, at Malew when his age was recorded as 30 years. See 1.36 for details of his descendants. 1.35.5 Emily Corkish (2326) was baptized on the 3rd of January, 1864, at St. Marks. She married Fran Moore Stephen on the 20th of February, 1884, at Cronk–y–Voddy. She was living with her parents in 1871. Her age in the census return is given as 2 years. The age was originally entered in the “male” column where the erasure seemes to have been 7, her correct age. She has not been identified in the 1881 census. In 1891 she and her family were living at 4, Eastfield, Douglas. In 1901 the family were living in Alexander Drive, Onchan. 1.35.5.1 Frank Moore Stephen ws born circa 1852 in douglas. He married Emily Corkish on the the 20th of February, 1884, at Cron–y–Voddy. 1.35.6 Thomas Corkish (2327) was baptized on the 19th of August, 1866, at St. Marks. In 1871 an 1881 he was living with his parents at Stoney Mountain. He has not been found in the census of 1891. 1.35.7 Philip Corkish (2328) was baptized on the 7th of June, 1868, at St. Marks. In 1871 he was living with his parents at Stoney Mountain. Living with his parents in 1881 at 3, Stoney Road. He has not been found in the census of 1891. Emily Corkish (3575) was born circa 1869 (from the 1871 census) No baptism has been found. She has not been found in the 1881 census and is presumed to have died in early childhood. Age wrong in 1871—s/b 7 1.35.8 Walter Corkish (2329) was baptized on the 6th of April, 1873, at St. Marks. Living with his parents in 1881 at 3, Stoney Road. He has not been found in the census of 1891. 1.35.9 Mary Jane Corkish (2330) was born on the 1st of December, 1878, at Malew. Living with her parents in 1881 at 3, Stoney Road. Living with her widowed mother at 3, Stoney Road in 1891. She married Thomas Sayle circa 1883. She was uried at Braddan on the 17th of July, 1889, when her age was recorded as 30 years. In 1861 she was living with her parents at Michael. In 1871 she was living at Renwillan with her father and step–mother. In 1881 she was working as an housemaid at the General Hospital in Douglas. 1.38.1.1 Thomas Sayle (7220) was born circa 1854 at Castletown. He married Jane Elizbeth Corkish circa 1883. Neither a baptism nor a marriage record has been found. He married a second time to Elizabeth Hamilton on the 19th of June, 1891, at St. Matthew, Douglas 1.38.1.1.1 In 1891, a widower, he was boarding at 31, Bigwell Street, with his son. At this time he was employed as a labourer. In 1901 he and his second wife were living at 22, Head Road, Douglas, when he was employed as a quarryman. 1.38.2 Isabella Corkish (3579) was baptized on the 1st of January, 1860, at Michael. In 1861 she was living with her parents at Michael. In 1871 she was living at Renwillan with her father and step–mother. In 1881 she appears to be working as a general domestic servant for Hannah Burton at 121, Domingo Vale, Everton, Lancashire. She has not been found in the 1891 census under her maiden name. 1.39 The Children of Thomas Sayle & Jane Corkish continued from 1.38.1.1 and 1.38.1 Number &Name Type & Birthdate Place/Notes 7221 Annie Mabel A 26th Jun 1884 7222 Thomas William A 3rd Nov 1885 7223 John Charles A 5th Sep 1887 1.39.1 Annie Mabel Sayle (7221) was born on the 26th of June, 1884, in Douglas. In 1891 she was living with her grand–parents at Ballafageen, Michael. In 1901 she was a general servant to Margaret Colebourn at 25, Burnside Terrace, Douglas. 1.39.2 Thomas William Sayle (7222) was born on the 3rd of November, 1885, at Douglas. In 1891 he was living with his widowered father at 31, Bigwell Street. In 1901 he was living with his father and step–mother at 22, Head Road, Douglas, when he was employed a general labourer. 1.39.3 John Charles Sayle (7223) was born on the 5thof September, 1887, at Douglas.
