1-6 Corkish - Diirect Family History, Volume IV 1.5.2.1 John Cubon (5990) was born circa 1705. He married Joney Corkish on the 15th of July, 1727, at Rushen. 1.6 TheChildrenofJohnCorkish&MaryCottier continued from 1.5.1 and 1.5.1.1 Number &Name Type & Birthdate Place/Notes 4771 Patrick B 12th Jan 1726 Rushen 4772 John B 28th Aug 1729 Rushen 4773 Margaret B 28th Aug 1729 Rushen 1.6.1 Patrick Corkish (4771) was baptized on the 12th of January, 1726, at Rushen. He did not survive childhood. He is mentioned in his mother’s Will of 1731 so was presumably alive at her death, but there is a note in her inventory that one of the children had died and part of his funeral expenses were debited to her estate. A burial has not been found at Rushen. 1.6.2 John Corkish (4772) was baptized on the 28th of August, 1729, at Rushen with his twin sister. It is likely that he grew up with his Corkish grand–parents as there is a note to his mother’s Will that his legacy was placed in the hands of his grand–father. 1.6.3 Margaret Corkish (4773) was baptized on the 28th of August, 1729, at Rushen with her twin brother. It is likely that she was brought up with her brother by her Corkish grand–parents. She married Ewan Qualtrough on the 16th of July, 1757, at Rushen. Margaret Qualtrough was buried at Rushen on the 20th of August, 1766. See 1.7 for details of her descendants 1.6.3.1 Ewan Qualtrough (5857) was baptized on 19th of January, 1723, at Rushen, the son of Henry Qualtrough & Elinor Waterson. He married Margaret Corkish on the 16th of July, 1757, at Rushen. See 1.7 for details of his descendants. 1.7 The Children of Ewan Qualtrough & Margaret Corkish continued from 1.6.3.1 and 1.6.3 Number &Name Type & Birthdate Place/Notes 5858 Ewan B 9th Jul 1758 Rushen 5859 Esther B 24th Mar 1761 Rushen 5909 Isabel B 8th May 1763 Rushen 1.7.1 Ewan Qualtrough (5858) was baptized on the 9th of July, 1758, at Rushen. He married Alice Cottier on the 19th of September, 1792, at Rushen. He died on the 29th of June, 1817. 1.7.2 Esther Qualtrough (5859) was baptized on the 24th of March, 1761, at Rushen. She married Charles Corjeage on the 29th of April, 1783, at Rushen. 1.7.3 Isabel Qualtrough (5909) was baptized on the 8th of May, 1763, at Rushen. Died 1760 1.8.1 Patrick Corkish (1079) was born in approximately 1731 He died in 1733 and was buried at Rushen on the 14th of November. 1.8.2 Catherine Corkish (1080) was baptized on the 4th of November, 1733, at Rushen. She was buried at Rushen on 4th of January, 1742. 1.8.3 Henry Corkish (1081) was baptized on the 9th of November, 1735, at Rushen. Harry died of smallpox and was buried at Rushen on the 15th of August, 1741. 1.8.4 Ann Corkish (1082) was baptized on the 9th of April, 1737, at Rushen. A burial for “Anne, infant” is recorded at Rushen on the 6th of August, 1737. 1.8.5 Richard Corkish (1083) was baptized on the 15th of July, 1740, at Rushen. A burial is recorded at Rushen on the 24th of July, 1740, for “Richard, infant, son of John”. 1.8.6 Henry Corkish (244) was baptized on the 7th of February, 1741-2 at Rushen. He married Margery Bell (see 10.2.1) on the 18th of August, 1771, at Rushen. He died in 1822 and was buried at Rushen on the 17th of October. See 1.9 for details of his descendants. 1.8.7 Ann Corkish (1084) was baptized on the 9th of March, 1745, at Rushen.
