Keep well this winter - here’s our advice
Shine is helping residents stay warm
and healthy during the colder months
by offering free ‘Well Winter’ checks.
The ‘Well Winter’ campaign aims
to help those over 60, low-income
families with young children or those
with heart or lung problems who are
particularly affected by the cold.
We can also help you to lower your
energy bills and let you know about
other ways to stay safe and warm
during the colder months including:
benefits checks
befriending for older residents
fire safety checks
fall assessments
heating and condensation
survey
help with debt on your
utility bills.
So far, Shine has helped over
2,000 Islington residents!
It’s not too early…
Finding out you are pregnant and
having a baby is one of the most
exciting things that can happen. If
you are just pregnant or planning a
pregnancy in the future, it is important
to contact your local maternity services
before the 10th week of pregnancy.
You may think it might be too
early, but this is not the case. It is
much better for you and your baby
to be seen as early as possible in
the pregnancy, so you can meet
your midwife and discuss the care that
you and your baby need.
Booking into maternity services
before the 10th week is one of the
most important things you can do to
keep you and your baby healthy.
