President’s Welcome<br />
It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to the 6 th<br />
International Conference of the Royal Medical Services<br />
to be held at King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center -<br />
Dead Sea, Jordan in the period of 19-22 Nov 2012. We are<br />
lucky to host our <strong>RMS</strong> Conference for the second time in this<br />
location (lowest point on earth) after the great success of our<br />
previous conference in May 2010. It will be attended by more<br />
than 4000 participants, both local and regional in the fields<br />
of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Allied Health<br />
Professions.<br />
The Royal Medical Services Conferences are held once every two years with participation<br />
of more than 60 International Guest Speakers from all over the world from different<br />
specialties and backgrounds. This provides a unique and broad forum for discussion in<br />
Plenary Sessions of topics that bridge the divide between specialties.<br />
Some of you will have attended this conference before and your willingness to return is a<br />
testimony to how much you enjoyed your previous visit. For those coming to Jordan for<br />
the first time, I am sure it will not be your last. We hope to build bridges, establish new<br />
contacts, make new friends and renew old friendships<br />
We are fortunate to have prestigious partnerships for this conference with many<br />
International Organizations and Societies, such as the International Committee of<br />
Military Medicine, Pan-Arab Regional Group of Military Medicine, Royal College<br />
of Surgeons of England, Royal College of Physicians, and World Federation of<br />
Hemophilia.<br />
I would also like to thank our many Sponsors for contributing generously to the conference<br />
whether by taking a part in the Medical Exhibition or by sponsoring Guest Speakers for<br />
the many workshops at hand.<br />
We hope you enjoy your stay at the Dead Sea, where the weather at this time of year is<br />
excellent, and also get a chance to explore some of the many other wonders of Jordan.<br />
