2 Insert a disc into the disc slot with the label side facing the front or up as shown below.<br />

Insert a disc halfway, then it is pulled into the center unit automatically.<br />

When the center unit is placed horizontally, the moving panel<br />

closes after inserting the disc.<br />

After the system reads the disc information, playback starts.<br />

To remove a disc<br />

Press 0 again. The disc comes out from the disc slot. “EJECT” appears on the display window and on the TV screen.<br />

NOTE: When the center unit is placed vertically<br />

When AM, FM, AUX, or AUX DIGITAL is selected as the source, if the indication as illustrated below appears on the<br />

display window, a disc is already inserted. Press 0 to remove the disc before inserting another disc.<br />

NOTES:<br />

• With Video CDs/SVCDs with PBC function (see page 7), or some DVD Video discs, the menu display may appear on the TV screen after<br />

starting playback. In such a case, select an item to be played back from the menu. See page 43.<br />

• When the system is in standby mode, pressing 0 also turns on the system.<br />

• The stored position for the resume playback is canceled when removing a disc.<br />

• You can check the playback information on the display window and the TV screen (see page 41).<br />

While loading and playing a disc, the current title/chapter/track numbers, time, and status information appear on the display<br />

window.<br />

NOTES:<br />

• You can change the time information mode. See page 42.<br />

• You can also check the playback information on the TV screen. See page 41.<br />

• The current disc type information appears as follows:<br />

– “VCD”: shows a VCD or SVCD is loaded.<br />

– “CD”: shows an Audio CD is loaded.<br />

• When a Video CD or SVCD with PBC function is played, the time information does not appear, but “PBC” appears.<br />

Stopping playback temporarily<br />

From the remote control: Press PAUSE.<br />

On the center unit: Press 8.<br />
