Setting DVD preferences LEVEL menu NOTE: When “NONE” is selected for the center speaker or rear speakers in the SIZE menu, you cannot enter the LEVEL menu. (See page 64.) O<strong>TH</strong>ERS RESUME ON SCREEN GUIDE AUTO STANDBY AV COMPULINK MODE PARENTAL LOCK ON ON OFF DVD1 Items RESUME You can activate or deactivate the resume playback function. ON SCREEN GUIDE You can activate or deactivate the on-screen guide icons. (See page 27.) AUTO STANDBY* When playback ends and does not restart for more than the time you specify, this system turns off by itself. AV COMPULINK MODE PARENTAL LOCK You can restrict playback of a DVD containing violent scenes and those not suitable for your family members. Contents and guidelines • ON Select this to activate this function. • OFF Select this to deactivate. • ON Select this to activate this function. • OFF Select this to deactivate. • 60 This system turns off by itself if playback does not restart within 60 minutes. • 30 This system turns off by itself if playback does not restart within 30 minutes. • OFF Select this to deactivate. This item is provided for use in the future. It is currently not used. • DVD 1 • DVD 2 • DVD 3 Enter the PARENTAL LOCK sub-menu. (See page 67.) * When both of the auto standby function and the sleep timer are activated, if the shut-off time set by the sleep timer comes earlier than the one set by the auto standby function, the sleep timer takes effect. 66
