Advanced operations<br />

This section explains advanced operations of DVD, Video CD, SVCD, and Audio CD playback using the remote control.<br />

For MP3 playback, see page 55, and for JPEG playback, see page 57.<br />

VIDEO SUPER AUDIO<br />

• DVD<br />

CD VCD CD<br />

shows the types of discs the operation is available for.<br />

• Before operating the DVD player from the remote control, press DVD to use the remote control for the disc operations.<br />

• Turn on your TV, and select the correct input mode on the TV.<br />

• If “ ” appears on the TV screen when pressing a button, the disc cannot accept an operation you have tried to do, or<br />

information required for that operation is not recorded on the disc.<br />

IMPORTANT:<br />

When using the remote control, check to see if its<br />

remote control mode selector is set to the correct<br />

position:<br />

Set it to “DVD” to use other than RDS.<br />

Using the on-screen bar<br />

You can check the information of a disc while the disc is<br />

loaded, and you can use some functions through the onscreen<br />

bar.<br />

2: shows the current transfer rate (Megabits per second).<br />

3: shows the current title number.<br />

4: shows the current chapter number (for DVD) or track<br />

number (for Video/Audio CD and SVCD).<br />
