ONLY THE BEST WOOD
The wood we use comes only from PEFC (Programme
for Endorsement of Forest Certification) conifers in the
Schwarzwald. The preservation and stability of this material
are ensured by a working process based on felling mature
trees in the right vegetation condition during the wintertime
in the forest, and on subsequent long drying periods during
which the trunks lose sugar and starch, which means that they
cannot be attacked by fungi or insects. Each phase in this
process requires strict compliance with lengthy schedules,
involving high management and procurement difficulties; the
product obtained, however, is outstanding: it is wood in the
strict sense of the word, without any chemicals such as glues
or impregnating paint, offering the best of its unique features,
which are not known to everybody.

Das verwendete Holz stammt ausschließlich von PEFC
(Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification)
zertifizierten Nadelbäumen aus dem Schwarzwald. Die
Haltbarkeit und Stabilität des Materials werden durch den
Verarbeitungsprozess garantiert, der auf dem Fällen der reifen
Bäume im angemessenen vegetativen Zustand während
der Winterzeit und einer anschließenden langen Trocknung
basiert, bei dem dem Stamm Zucker und Stärke entzogen
werden, so dass Pilze und Insekten ihn nicht mehr angreifen
können. Bei jeder Phase dieses Verarbeitungsprozesses
müssen die langen erforderlichen Zeiten eingehalten und nicht
zu unterschätzende Schwierigkeiten bei der Handhabung und
Anlieferung bewältigt werden. Das Endprodukt ist jedoch von
herausragender Qualität – Holz im weitesten Sinne dieses
Wortes, ohne jegliche Chemikalien wie Klebstoffe oder
Imprägnierlacke, das auf gänzlich natürliche Weise seine
besten, oft kaum bekannten Eigenschaften bietet.

Le bois utilisé provient exclusivement de conifères PEFC
(Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification: un
programme international de gestion durable de la forêt) de la
Schwarzwald - La Forêt Noire. La préservation et la stabilité
de ce matériau sont garanties par un processus de travail
fondé sur l’abattage d’arbres matures dans un état végétatif
approprié, pendant la période hivernale de la forêt et un long
séchage ultérieur qui prive les troncs de sucre et d’amidon,
ce qui les rend résistants aux champignons et aux insectes.
Chaque étape de ce processus exige le strict respect de
longs délais, comporte de grandes difficultés de gestion et
d’approvisionnement, mais le produit obtenu est remarquable;
c’est le bois dans son acception la plus noble, dépourvu
de toute substance chimique, tels que colles ou vernis
imprégnés, prêt à offrir, d’une manière tout à fait naturelle, le
meilleur de ses caractéristiques parfois mal connues.
SOLO IL LEGNO MIGLIORE
Il legno utilizzato proviene unicamente da conifere PEFC
(Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification) della
Schwarzwald. La preservazione e la stabilità di questo
materiale sono garantiti da un processo lavorativo basato
sull’abbattimento di alberi maturi nello stato vegetativo adatto,
nel periodo invernale del bosco e da una successiva lunga
essiccazione che priva i tronchi dello zucchero e dell’amido,
rendendoli inattaccabili da funghi e insetti.
Ciascuna fase di questo processo operativo richiede il rigido
rispetto di lunghe tempistiche, comporta elevate difficoltà di
gestione e approvvigionamento, ma il prodotto ottenuto è
eccezionale, è il legno nella sua accezione più ampia, privo
di qualsivoglia sostanza chimica, come possono essere i
collanti o le vernici impregnanti, pronto ad offrire, in modo
completamente naturale, il meglio delle sue peculiarità, a volte
poco conosciute.
