COMES
THE BRIDE
Steel yourself for Twilight's
wildest sequel
by Amy Nicholson
Kids grow up so fast. Three Novembers
ago, Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward
(Robert Pattinson) first made eyes at each
other across a high school cafeteria. We all
know what happended next: teen vampire
love and $1.8 billion in global ticket sales.
Breaking Dawn Part I is the fourth film in the
series and the first of a two-part climax shot
simultaneously to release in November of
this year and 2012. Fans know what happens:
after break-ups, near-suicides and a
love triangle with local shirtless werewolf Jacob
(Taylor Lautner) Bella and Edward finally
tie the knot at the ripe old ages of 18 and
110. But on their honeymoon, Bella discovers
she's pregnant … with a fast-growing
half-vampire child who's feeding—literally—
off of her mother. The birth nearly kills the
slender human, forcing her new husband to
save his bride's life by turning her into an
immortal vampire. It's heady stuff and tough
to pull off with a PG-13 rating, but director
Bill Condon and star Kristen Stewart think
Breaking Dawn Part I is Twilight's most
intense installment yet. Get ready for a teen
invasion, cause everyone's invited to this
white (and blood red) wedding.
