Year 12 Geography Camp
In the first week of term 2 students studying Year 12 Geography went on a two day camp to the
Goulburn Valley region.
As part of their core studies on the Murray Darling Basin, students were taken to the Barmah
Forest to see what a wetland is like as well as experience a cruise down the Murray River. Students
were given the opportunity to see how water in the Murray Darling is used for environmental
purposes as well as for domestic, agricultural and recreational uses.
Students were also taken to visit a range of different irrigation areas as part of their preparation
for the core topic.
Overall it was an enjoyable and very informative two days.
A big thank you to Don and Bella for all their help on this camp.
