Yoga / Martial Arts Women’s Yoga Share yoga with a sisterhood in all stages of life. Using breath and a slow, fluid practice, this class attends to the need of women’s bodies, including life changes and emotional stress. A safe, nurturing environment is created in which we can truly open and celebrate together. All levels are welcome, as well as prenatal and postpartum women. Instructor: Blythe Massey. Pilates-based exercise decreases pregnancy-induced muscle/joint pain and fatigue and increases flexibility, stamina and core strength in preparation for labor and delivery. Instruction on proper postural alignment and breathing/relaxation techniques is included. Basic movement aspects will be taught: directions, speed, levels, shapes and creativity. Learn the basics of ballet, modern, and improvisation. The kids will also have time to put movement to stories.
