3) Apply principles associated with assessing capacity and capacity building within the
school population.
4) Work to plan, implement and evaluate interventions/programs.
5) Become knowledgeable about the role and delivery of services of the interdisciplinary
health care professionals that provide services in the school (e.g., Paediatrician,
Optometrist, Psychologist, Social Worker, Elders, Community Liaison and
Community Development Coordinators).
Fourth year students are placed either individually or in pairs for a six week
rotation at the school. There are two rotations for students in the fall term and two
rotations in the winter term. Spring term rotations with six students have occurred twice,
although dependent on the availability of faculty. Students are supervised by a faculty
member of the College of Nursing.

2) Environmental Health (e.g., needle safety, first aid, frost bite)
3) Mental Health (e.g., bullying, self-image, mental health concerns)
