and your bones shall flourish like an herb:
and the hand of the Lord shall be known
toward his servants, and his indignation
toward his enemies.
For, behold, the Lord will come with fire,
and with his chariots like a whirlwind,
to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke
with flames of fire.
For by fire and by his sword will the Lord
plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord
shall be many.
Ant. For unto us a child is born,
and his name shall be called the Mighty God,
alleluia, alleluia.
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
Our Father … and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
May the Lord Almighty and merciful break
the bonds of our sins and set us free.
Amen.
et vos os reprendront vigueur comme l’herbe.
Et la main du Seigneur se fera connaître à ses
serviteurs ; et son indignation à ses ennemis.
Car voici que le Seigneur vient dans le feu,
et son char est semblable à l’ouragan,
pour déverser sa colère en embrasement
et ses menaces en flammes de feu.
Car c’est par le feu que le Seigneur
exerce le jugement ; et par son épée, contre
toute chair ; et nombreux seront ceux que le
Seigneur aura percés.
Ant. Un petit fils nous est né,
et on le nomme Dieu fort,

Au commencement était le Verbe,
et le Verbe était auprès de Dieu,
et le Verbe était Dieu.
Notre Père … Et ne nous soumets pas à la
tentation, mais délivre-nous du mal. Que le
Seigneur tout-puissant et miséricordieux
nous libère des chaînes du péché.
