In <strong>2006</strong>, Sodexo launched<br />
the nutrition educational program<br />
Atina Come Sano (Atina eats<br />
healthy food) to give children<br />
a taste for wholesome, varied<br />
food and a healthy lifestyle.<br />
A “Nutritional Traffi c Light”<br />
system allows them to identify<br />
the nutritional value of the various<br />
dishes available and compose<br />
a balanced menu. Today, some<br />
30 private schools with more than<br />
3,000 students are learning good<br />
eating habits that will serve them<br />
their entire lives.<br />
Sodexo also involves parents<br />
in this educational approach.<br />
They receive a monthly newsletter<br />
and can consult the recommendations<br />
posted each week to help them<br />
plan weekend meals.<br />
Sodexo has developed a partnership<br />
with INTA (Institute of Nutrition<br />
and Food Technology) at the<br />
University of Chile which audits<br />
and certifi es the program.
