Successful transition and guaranteed performance<br />
Building on a longstanding relationship of trust, the Dutch airline company KLM and Sodexo have expanded<br />
their partnership. Building on the success of 15 years of providing Foodservices, Sodexo is now supplying<br />
support services, and has integrated 255 KLM employees who specialize in Facilities Management services.<br />
KLM outsources its Facilities Management services<br />
In late 2003, KLM decided to outsource its Facilities<br />
services to cut costs while improving service quality.<br />
The contract encompasses more than thirty Food and<br />
Facilities Management services for 90 KLM buildings<br />
covering a total of two million square feet in the Schiphol<br />
region. Knowing that employment issues related<br />
to 255 KLM staff members were a key concern for KLM,<br />
Sodexo pledged to ensure smooth team transfers<br />
and continuous quality service.<br />
Sodexo builds a customized offer in partnership with KLM<br />
Sodexo won the KLM contract in late <strong>2006</strong>, in particular<br />
thanks to its team management experience and the quality<br />
of its staff engineering offer. It proposed taking 255 KLM<br />
employees on board and recommended jointly defi ned<br />
Service Level Agreements, along with a clear procurement<br />
policy and a transparent online reporting system.<br />
Close cooperation for a successful transition<br />
A strong partnership with a project management team<br />
made up of Sodexo and KLM employees has helped<br />
ensure a smooth transition. Fully transparent reporting<br />
has been implemented. Today, Sodexo is benefi ting from<br />
the expertise of the newly integrated KLM specialists,<br />
and customers are enjoying guaranteed service quality.<br />
