PACT Charter School Long-term Goals (including 2011-2012 Acedemic and Non-Academic Goals)
These long-term goals were established by the School Board through the committee process in December of 2009.
(MISSION STATEMENT) PREPARE STUDENTS FOR COLLEGE AND LIFELONG LEARNING
Long-term Goal # 1. To expand the PACT model* to include an additional site within 5 years (Priority #9)*The PACT model means the core
mission of PACT Charter School, which includes partnering together as parents, students and teachers, to prepare students for college and lifelong
learning, promote positive character development, and pursue a community atmosphere of mutual respect

1.1 Complete implementation of the new PACT Online Program
Continue working with MDE to approve the application for a separate 10-20-11
online program for up to 300 students.
Secure a facility for online program 01-31-12
Complete enrollment for online program 03-31-12
Complete hiring of online staff 06-30-12

2.1 Increasing efforts to identify and work with students to improve test
scores on the MCA (see specific targets in Academic Goals)
Review test scores with teachers to determine areas of strength and need for
improvement.

Implement After School Homework Assistance Program 11-30-11
2.2 Make the importance of success on MCA tests a more prominent
priority for the school
Place countdown to testing on school website 10-15-11
Ensure that teachers in reading, language and math are using practice tests
as a part of their weekly lessons and use testing format similar to MCA’s in
their curricular assessments.
