What do you like to do in the snow? I like making
snow forts and sled runs. I hate snowball fights,
because I hate snow in my clothes. We go to the
snow at lake Tahoe in California.
I like making snowmen, one big and a small
one. Then I play “snow fight” too with my neighbors
and my brother.

What is your name? Are you a boy or a girl? My
name is Olivia. I’m a girl.
My name is Loor. I’m a girl.
How old are you? When’s your birthday and how
do you celebrate it? I’m 10 years old and my
birthday is March sixth. I celebrate it by having a
party. I usually have cake and my friends come
over. One year we went to the tactile dome—this
place where it’s completely dark and you have to
find your way around by touch.
I’m 10 years old and my birthday is on
August 15. I celebrate it by having a party. I
always have a cake and I don’t invite my friends
because I am usually in Jordan because I am
traveling.
Do you have any brothers or sisters? What their
names and ages? I have a brother named Kevin.
He’s nine. We get along most of the time, but
sometimes we get in fights.
I have two brothers. One is named Faris, he is
13 years old. The second one is Amer, he is 22
years old.
Do you have any pets? If so, which kind? What
is your favorite animal? I have a cat named Harry
and a fish named Chuck. My favorite animal is
the bald eagle. Sometimes Harry gets a hold
of catnip, and gets really crazy and skittish. We
have a long hallway with wood floors, and he’ll
run back and forth, and when he tries to stop,
he’ll slide another couple of feet. It’s really funny
to watch.
I don’t have any pets, but I like dogs and
guinea pigs.
What grade are you in? How many students
are in your class? I’m in 5th grade. There are
seventeen kids in my class. Our class name is
The Epic Motor Monkeys. My teacher’s name is
Lesley. We call our teachers by their first names.
I am in the fifth grade. My classmates are 29
students.
What are your favorite things to do in your free
time? My favorite things to do in my free time
are reading, drawing, checking my email, hanging
out with friends, and playing soccer. When I
hang out with my friends, we play a chase game
called “Manhunt,” 4-Square (a ball game), chat
or play on the swings. When we play soccer, we
play it on the field at school.
I usually play on the computer, or talk to my
pen pal. I play on the wii and I watch TV. I l may
help my mom.
Do you play any sports or musical instruments?
Which ones? I’m on swim team. My favorite
strokes are Freestyle and breaststroke and I’m
really bad at butterfly. I also play football. My
favorite positions are goalie and left midfield. I
got a guitar and I’m hoping to take lessons soon.
I swim, play basketball, soccer, and tennis. I
play piano. I dance ballet, too.
What would you like to be when you grow up and
why? I’d like to be a rocket scientist because
my grandfather was a rocket scientist and I love
math and science. If I can’t do that, I’d like to be
a writer because I love to read and write.
I’d like to be a doctor because my mom and
dad inspired me to do that and I like to help
people.
What holidays do you celebrate and which are
your favorite? I celebrate Easter, Independence
Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and
New Year’s. My favorite holidays are Christmas
