I have no pets. I’d like to have a dog because
they are funny. I like Chihuahua dogs because
they are tiny and cute. My favorite animal is the
dog because they are cute.
What grade are you in? How many students are
in your class? I’m in fourth grade and there are
17 kids in my class.
I’m in fourth grade and there are 30 kids in
my class.
Describe your school to me. There are three
buildings in our school, one is called The Palm
Building and it is for K–3rd. Another building
is the BK building and another is called the
Magnolia building, which has the 7th and 8th
graders. We also have a huge playground with
swings, slides and basketball courts. My favorite
is the basketball courts.
My school has five buildings for different
grades and offices. There is a big playground
with slides and a place to play soccer. Our
school is very old. My aunts were students at
this school.
What is your favorite subject and why? What are
your favorite afterschool activities? I love reading
and writing, I love Indian dance, which is on
Wednesdays at 3:00 and right after that I have
Modern dance class.
My favorite subject is English. I like it because
we have many activities and my teacher Miss
Stephanie tries to make us be good in reading
and writing English. I learn guitar afterschool. It
is on Thursdays. I like it because guitar is my
favorite instrument. My parents don’t like me to
play, though. They want me to play the piano. I
learned for two years and then I quit because I
did not like it.
Do you play an instrument, and if so which one?
A.I play the piano. My lessons are every Fridays
at 5:00. I love playing the piano and for Christmas
I got a keyboard.
I play the guitar. Sometimes I play the piano.
We have a piano in our house.
What holidays do you celebrate? Which is your
favorite? I celebrate Christmas and it is my favorite
holiday. Every year my grandma, aunt and
uncle and soon cousin (they just had a baby
named Andrew) come down to our house and
we eat and open presents and then they leave.
I celebrate Christmas and Easter. My favorite
is Christmas because we get presents. Sometimes
we go to Amman, Jordan for Christmas
to celebrate with our cousins. We play UNO and
other games. We go to church.
What countries or places have you been to, or
are planning to go to? I’ve been to Michigan and
Ohio when I was a lot younger because that’s
where my parents grew up, but in July my whole
family and uncle, aunt, and grandma are going to
my great-uncle and aunts in Canada and it will be
fun.
I’ve been to Jordan and Egypt. In Egypt I went
to Sharm Al-Sheik where we went swimming in
the Red Sea. I also went to America, but I was
just 2 months old, so I don’t remember what I
did. My two aunts live in Jacksonville, Florida and
I have many cousins in America.
What’s your favorite kind of weather and season?
I love rain, so I can sit down and read with hot
chocolate and then take a nap. I also like to go
out and try to catch rainwater on my tongue and
that’s why winter and the beginning of summer
are my favorites.
I like the summer. I like it because we go to
swim at a swimming pool called Snobar. I love
swimming. I love winter, too. I love it because
it sometimes snows, but in Palestine it doesn’t
snow much.
