family and friends. I also celebrate Muslim feasts<br />

Do you like sports? If so, which ones? I like dancing<br />
and jump roping because you can do them<br />
all the time.<br />
I like dancing, too. I like dabkah and English<br />
dancing.<br />
Do you have any siblings? If so, what is/are their<br />
names? I have a little sister named Margaret but<br />
everyone calls her Maggie. Her name means<br />
pearl and she is 7. I like playing games with her.<br />
I have little sister named Alma and a brother<br />
named Omar and one other brother named<br />
Laith.<br />
Do you have any pets? If so, what animal(s) are<br />
they and what are their names? I have four cats.<br />
The kittens’ names are Chutney and Delubo. The<br />
cats’ names are Caitlin and Elizabeth. I also have<br />
three chickens whose names are Lightball, Blossom,<br />
and Babette. I have a frog, too and I named<br />
her Lucy.<br />
I have one dog named Tornado.<br />
What would a typical Friday at school be like for<br />
you? I arrive at school at 8:45, and we do monitor<br />
jobs. Then we have a spelling test. Then we<br />
have a math quiz. Recess is next. Then we work<br />
on our most recent project. Then lunchtime.<br />
After lunch we have an event where the whole<br />
school comes together and sings lots of songs.<br />
After that, we go back to our classroom, and<br />
have Current Events in which the Class Leaders<br />
report to us about the most recent happenings.<br />
Then it’s room time, where we get to do whatever<br />
we want!!<br />
I don’t have school on Friday, but I want to<br />
tell you about what I do on Friday. On Friday I go<br />
to dabkah. I play with my friend and my sister. I<br />
practice my lessons and I do my homework.<br />
What do you want to be when you grow up, and<br />
why? I would like to be either an actress or an<br />
entertainment person because I love changing<br />
personalities when I act.<br />
I want to be a singer because my talent is<br />
singing.<br />
What’s your favorite subject in school and why?<br />
My favorite subject is spelling because I love<br />
seeing how different letters combine to make<br />
different words. I also like reading and writing<br />
because I get to travel to whole new worlds of<br />
my own creation.<br />
My favorite subject in school is English. My<br />
father is an English teacher and I learn many<br />
things in English.<br />
What is your favorite dessert and why? My favorite<br />
dessert is home-made cream on a summer<br />
day because it is so refreshing. I also like the<br />
chocolate cardamom cookies that my mom<br />
bakes because the spiciness tastes good with<br />
the chocolate chips.<br />
My favorite dessert is Al-Nkab. I like it<br />
because it is hot in summer and I like summer.<br />
What’s your teacher’s name and what is he or<br />
she like? My teacher’s name is Kris Lee. She has<br />
black hair. Kris loves to teach math.<br />
I have many teachers, but I want to tell you<br />
about my English teacher. Her name is Miss<br />
Stephanie. She has brown hair.<br />
