FEDERAL SAFETY STANDARD CERTIFICATION LABEL<br />

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration regulations require a label<br />

certifying compliance with Federal Safety Standards, for United States and U.S.<br />

Territories, be affixed to each motor vehicle and prescribe where such label may be<br />

located.This certification label, which indicates the date of manufacture and other<br />

pertinent information, is located on the left hand cab door post.<br />

How To Order Parts<br />

When you need replacement parts for your <strong>Peterbilt</strong> vehicles, contact your nearest<br />

authorized <strong>Peterbilt</strong> dealer, who may be located from the “<strong>Peterbilt</strong> Authorized U.S.<br />

and Canadian Dealers” listing (Cat. No. 5212).<br />

When you order, it is IMPORTANT than you have the following information ready:<br />

Your name and address.<br />

Serial number of the truck.<br />

The name of the part you need.<br />

The name and number of the component for which the part is required.<br />

The quantity of parts you need.<br />

How you want your order shipped.<br />

NHTSA Consumer Information<br />

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration requires that the following<br />

information be included in the owner’s manual of motor vehicles manufactured after<br />

September 1, 1990:<br />

If you believe that your vehicle has a defect which could cause a crash or could<br />

cause injury or death, you should immediately inform the National Highway Traffic<br />

Safety Administration (NHTSA) in addition to notifying <strong>Peterbilt</strong> <strong>Motors</strong> <strong>Company</strong>.<br />

If NHTSA receives similar complaints, it may open an investigation, and if it finds<br />

that a safety defect exists in a group of vehicles, it may order a recall and remedy
