Fire safety & Automation
The business area focuses on the international oil
and gas industry, particularly in the Middle East,
and offers products and systems for fire safety, and
automation systems for oil and gas facilities. The
product range includes solutions for fire and gas
detection and oil and gas pipeline leak detection, as
well as fire-extinguishing and emergency shut down
systems and instrumentation including control systems
for tank farms and terminals.

Based on its market and technical knowledge,
Consilium has made large investments in new areas
and currently has a number of interesting business
development projects in its portfolio. Some business
development projects have gone far, giving rise to
a separate business area or evolving into a separate
division, while others have resulted in new products
and solutions. This is particularly the case with products
and systems for military vessels, special radar
system for detection of oil spills, port surveillance,
electronic nautical charts and integrated navigational
systems. There are also a number of projects still in an
early development phase.
At the same time, Consilium has also built up a
strong global market organisation. There is significant
potential to exploit this organisation for the sale
of quality supplementary products from external
product suppliers, which in the long term would bring
Consilium significant volume and profit growth.
