BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Taip Asani comes to Rock Valley College with a degree in accounting from Northern Illinois
University. He polished his educational background by gaining working experience most recently as an
Accounting Clerk for the Rockford Housing Authority. Taip will be a great addition to the Accounts
Payable Department here at Rock Valley College.
Dolores Elias has been a part of Rock Valley College since December 2010. Dolores began working
with Rock Valley College in the Disability Support Services department and will move over to
Intercultural Student Services effective April 16, 2012. Dolores has 14+ years of experience as an
Administrative Assistant. She is bilingual and provides a strong student-friendly personality to our
office. Please join us in welcoming Dolores Elias to the Intercultural Student Services department.
Greg Heckman is a 1993 graduate of the Rock Valley College Aviation Maintenance Technology
Program. He also has an associate is science in engineering from Sauk Valley College, and a bachelor
of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Greg has
previously been an adjunct instructor for Rock Valley College aviation classes. Greg brings to the
program over 20 years of experience in the aviation maintenance field.
Ryan Jacobsen is a graduate of Christian Life High School who went on to attend Rock Valley College
and subsequently graduate from Columbia College Chicago. He has held a variety of positions
nationwide in customer service and administrative support positions. Specifically, he has enjoyed
positions in Cooper Landing, Alaska, New Orleans, Chicago, and New York City. Ryan is very excited
to transition into a professional role here at Rock Valley College where it is his personal goal to
“educate and help students maneuver through a sometimes overwhelming environment.”
