For the boys and girls participating in the research, the average numbers of sisters is 2.88<br />

and the average number of brothers 3.16. These numbers vary from province to province<br />

(Figures 4 & 5).<br />

The findings of the research show that the survey was carried out mostly with the first,<br />

second, third, fourth or fifth child of the family. This situation is similar for all provinces. For<br />

example, in each of the four provinces, the frequency is highest on the 5th child. In Ordu<br />

one of the children participating in the research affirmed being the 14th child. The findings<br />

of the research indirectly show that families have many children.<br />
