Personnel<br />
Administrative Departments<br />
The following is a listing <strong>of</strong> all administrative departments at <strong>the</strong> <strong>Museum</strong> <strong>School</strong>. If dialing from outside<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>School</strong>, dial 617-369- and <strong>the</strong>n <strong>the</strong> 4-digit extension listed below.<br />
Academic Affairs (x3612 or x3833)<br />
The Academic Affairs Office is available to provide help and information on academic program planning<br />
and to facilitate communications between students and faculty. Academic Affairs also serves as <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>School</strong>’s liaison to Tufts University and provides applications, advising, and registration information for<br />
degree programs and academic courses.<br />
Specific functions or duties performed by <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice include <strong>the</strong> following:<br />
° Oversight <strong>of</strong> all advising programs<br />
° Information about and applications for <strong>the</strong> undergraduate degree programs <strong>of</strong>fered in<br />
partnership with Tufts University<br />
° Academic planning: advising on academic requirements, selecting academic courses, and<br />
managing course load<br />
° Academic resources such as writing workshops, Tufts computer labs, tutorial services, and<br />
referrals to specialists for testing and/or counseling for students with learning disabilities<br />
° Handle all matters pertaining to <strong>the</strong> studio faculty<br />
° Unsatisfactory progress issues with Studio Diploma, degree, and Post-Baccalaureate<br />
students<br />
° Leave <strong>of</strong> Absence and Withdrawal requests<br />
° Pre-approval and processing <strong>of</strong> studio and academic transfers for currently enrolled students<br />
Of particular interest to students is <strong>the</strong> handling <strong>of</strong> course evaluations, faculty resumes, faculty location<br />
information, and grievances concerning faculty. The <strong>of</strong>fice is available to help with any problems<br />
regarding faculty members and can facilitate a meeting between a faculty member and a student. In<br />
addition, students interested in serving on any <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>School</strong>’s committees can contact <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice for<br />
meeting schedules.<br />
Admissions (x3626)<br />
The Admissions Office plans <strong>the</strong> recruitment and enrollment activities for prospective students.<br />
Specific functions or duties performed by <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice include <strong>the</strong> following:<br />
° Issue initial visa application materials to incoming international students<br />
° Oversee merit scholarships for incoming students<br />
° Host National Portfolio Days<br />

Alumni Relations (x3622)<br />
The Alumni Relations Office sponsors events and activities to streng<strong>the</strong>n <strong>the</strong> ties between former<br />
students and <strong>the</strong> <strong>Museum</strong> <strong>School</strong> community.<br />
Art Education Office (x3613)<br />
The Art Education <strong>of</strong>fice provides oversight <strong>of</strong> and administers for <strong>the</strong> MAT program. The <strong>of</strong>fice is located<br />
at <strong>the</strong> Mission Hill Building.
