<strong>Student</strong> Employment (x3689)<br />
The <strong>Student</strong> Employment <strong>of</strong>fice (SEO) works in conjunction with <strong>the</strong> Financial Aid Office to provide<br />
assistance to students searching for employment on or <strong>of</strong>f campus. The SEO communicates with <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>School</strong>’s studio areas and administrative departments, as well as various departments at <strong>the</strong> MFA, to<br />
specifically provide employment opportunities to federal work-study (FWS) eligible students.<br />
Specific functions or duties performed by <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice include <strong>the</strong> following:<br />
° Maintain and distribute a current list <strong>of</strong> available job opportunities for FWS students.<br />
° Process hiring paperwork for <strong>the</strong> following students: FWS and non-work-study students,<br />
Tufts FWS students, and graduate teaching assistants.<br />
° Collect time sheets and distribute paychecks.<br />
Visual Resources (VR) (x3615)<br />
Visual Resources (VR) is a valuable educational resource <strong>of</strong> image collections focusing on contemporary<br />
art. The VR adjoins <strong>the</strong> <strong>Museum</strong> <strong>School</strong>’s W. Van Alan Clark Jr. Library, located on <strong>the</strong> third floor <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> B<br />
Building.<br />
VR Mission Statement<br />
Visual Resources maintains a strong commitment to support <strong>the</strong> curriculum, research and educational<br />
needs <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> students, faculty and staff <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Museum</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Fine</strong> <strong>Arts</strong>, Boston.<br />
Collection and Access Information<br />
Visual Resources’ image collections include <strong>the</strong> Digital Image Collection, a rapidly growing collection <strong>of</strong><br />
images accessible to SMFA students and faculty for educational use. A selection <strong>of</strong> images from <strong>the</strong> Digital<br />
Image Collection can be found on ARTstor, ano<strong>the</strong>r VR digital image resource. Digital Gold, a new image<br />
collection <strong>of</strong>fered by VR, is an innovative image resource that invites students and faculty to make<br />
additions to <strong>the</strong> collection.<br />
A collection <strong>of</strong> over 95,000 slides are housed in <strong>the</strong> Visual Resources Library with a focus on contemporary<br />
art. It is a circulating collection representing <strong>the</strong> entire history <strong>of</strong> art.
