<strong>School</strong> Store (x3889)<br />

The <strong>School</strong> Store is an over-<strong>the</strong>-counter service <strong>of</strong>fering a full line <strong>of</strong> art supplies. Although <strong>the</strong> store is<br />

meant to be a convenience, it can serve most basic student art-supply needs. The store also carries hardto-find<br />

art supplies that are stocked at instructors’ requests. Prices are lower than or competitive with<br />

o<strong>the</strong>r major art-supply stores in <strong>the</strong> area. Employees can also supply technical information on many <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong>ir products, and informative workshops on various product lines are presented during <strong>the</strong> year.<br />

<strong>Student</strong>s may also purchase printing credits for <strong>the</strong> Mac Lab here. The store accepts cash, checks, and<br />

credit cards.<br />

The <strong>School</strong> Store is located in <strong>the</strong> Weems Atrium. Store hours are as follows:<br />

Manager <strong>of</strong> Special Projects (x3618)<br />

The Manager <strong>of</strong> Special Projects is responsible for creating opportunities for students both at <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Museum</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Fine</strong> <strong>Arts</strong>, Boston, and in <strong>the</strong> greater Boston community. Projects at <strong>the</strong> MFA include student<br />

exhibitions at <strong>the</strong> Hunt Library, artist talks and demos in <strong>the</strong> galleries, and community partnerships and<br />

teaching opportunities. The MFA’s internationally acclaimed Visiting Artists frequently meet, lecture and<br />

work with SMFA students.<br />

<strong>Student</strong> Affairs (x3803)<br />

The <strong>Student</strong> Affairs staff is available to counsel students on a variety <strong>of</strong> matters pertaining to student life<br />

and personal matters at <strong>the</strong> <strong>Museum</strong> <strong>School</strong> and in Boston. <strong>Student</strong>s are encouraged to visit <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice on<br />

<strong>the</strong> main floor <strong>of</strong> 230 The Fenway with questions, issues, or ideas for a student event. When appropriate,<br />

<strong>Student</strong> Affairs will refer students to o<strong>the</strong>r resources.<br />

Specific functions or duties performed by <strong>the</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice include <strong>the</strong> following:<br />

° AICAD Mobility Program<br />

° Advocate student issues to <strong>the</strong> faculty and administration<br />

° Bulletin board system (and poster approval)<br />

° Bus trips to New York City and elsewhere (excluding class trips)<br />

° Communication to students (also on behalf <strong>of</strong> students wishing to reach <strong>the</strong> entire student<br />

body)<br />

° Conflict resolution<br />

° Disciplinary Action
