Business process re- engineering (BPR) • BPR – a technique as the total t redesign of fth the business processes in the company, leading to a change in the way work is done. • Michael Hammer (1996) describes as “a complete end-to-end set of activities that together create value for a customer” • It is restarting from scratch, reinventing the way to produce goods and services. • It needs a complete reanalysis of all the processes, to increase the velocity of processes, obtain cost reduction through labor reduction, and improve the quality of the service provided to the clients.
