(3)(e) Consultations The application was advertised as Major Development under Article 8 of the Town and Country Planning Act and a total of 48 consultations were undertaken. Two objections were received from surrounding businesses west of the site along Clayton Road. Such objections raise concerns with traffic congestion and parking along Clayton Road. Hotels provide employment and make a significant contribution to the local economy. Hillingdon has good communications with Central London but its distance from central facilities does not encourage longer staying tourists to make the area’s hotels their holiday base.
