When the setting mark is opposite the cross, the fuze is set for<br />

percussi<strong>on</strong>.<br />

Remarks.<br />

This fuze is so c<strong>on</strong>structed that the percussi<strong>on</strong><br />

arrangement works equally well whether the projectile strikes the<br />

ground point first or base first. Should the percussi<strong>on</strong> arrangement<br />

fail to act, det<strong>on</strong>ati<strong>on</strong> is effected by the time arrangement<br />

in the fuze, which for this purppse is set to act <strong>on</strong>e or more<br />

sec<strong>on</strong>ds after impact.<br />

This fuze has been replaced by Z.S.U.HI.W.M., which " is used"<br />

witheither the medium or the heavy Minenwerfer. See Eemarks<br />

<strong>on</strong> page 182.<br />
