Each of the smallest divisi<strong>on</strong>s from 2 xo 15 is equivalent to 100<br />

metres of range, those from 15 to 72 are equivalent to 50 metres.<br />

According to a <strong>German</strong> document, the latest pattern of this fuze<br />

is <strong>on</strong>ly graduated up to 5,000 metres (5,468 yards).<br />

When the setting mark is opposite the cross <strong>on</strong> the disc covering<br />

the gas escape, the fuze is set for percussi<strong>on</strong>.<br />

Material.—Cap of zinc alloy; aluminium time rings.<br />

Remarks.— This pointed fuze was introduced for use with the<br />

l<strong>on</strong>gpattern field gun shell, to replace the K.Z. 11 Gr. fuze. It<br />

does not, however, appear to be extensively used.<br />
