Nature. Percussi<strong>on</strong> : n<strong>on</strong>-delay, short delay or l<strong>on</strong>g delay<br />

acti<strong>on</strong> (vide 0.V., 1 V <strong>and</strong> 2 V ©n the plate).<br />

Material.—Brass.<br />

Remarks.— With the 1906 pattern shell for 28 cm. howitzer,<br />

the fuze is set without delay acti<strong>on</strong>- (0.V.) for ranges below<br />

4,100 m. <strong>and</strong> at 2 V for ranges above 4,100 m.<br />

A variati<strong>on</strong> of this fuze has been found fitted to a 13 cm.<br />

incendiary shell. Above the designati<strong>on</strong> ]g. Bd. Z. 10 are the<br />

=<br />

words Brd. Gesch. Br<strong>and</strong>-Oeschoss, implyingthat it is designed<br />

for use with incendiary shell. The fuze is otherwise externally<br />

identical withthe ordinary !g. Bd. Z. 10 fuze.<br />

This fuze has superseded an older pattern called Bd. Z. 06 (see<br />

page 138).
