Dave Beardsley’s 6m Ventus 2cM<br />
Dave showed up at 60 Acres with this beautiful ’ship —<br />
a 1/3 scale model of the Schempp-Hirth Ventus 2cM<br />
motorglider by LET .<br />
That’s right, six meters and a weight of 29 lbs.<br />
The “Up and Go” system, including prop, is made by JK<br />
Modelltechnik. LET Model custom made the fuselage<br />
to accept this system.<br />
Two Thunder Power 5s3p 6000 mAh Li-poly battery<br />
packs wired in series (41V) power a Lehner Motoren<br />
Technik LMT 1940 series motor with 6:1 gear drive<br />
through a Castle Creations Phoenix HV 85<br />
speed control. The RF 20x13 carbon<br />
prop turns at ~6400 RPM. This<br />
system puts out nearly 24<br />
lbs. of thrust, so climbs<br />
are brisk, to say<br />
