It has become a
tradition that after
the IHLGF a number
of contestants take
a trip to Parker
Mountain for a bit of
front side sloping and
back side dynamic
soaring. I come from
the east coast with a
limited number of
slope sites and
where the lift is
sporadic. Being at
Parker where the lift
is so consistent and
so BIG is quite a treat.
By sunset on
Tuesday, the lift was
dying and Charles
Frey, Peter Jensen, Al
Nephew and myself
were stretching out
our final moments on
the mountain.
First Peter flew Al’s
Encore and
attempted a few low
speed DS circuits on
the back side, then
Charles flew it on the
front side to create
this photo
opportunity.
