Red <strong>and</strong> black self-adhesive dots<br />

Directions<br />

Give each child a paper plate, some red <strong>and</strong> black colored dots, strips of white paper, <strong>and</strong> a glue<br />

stick. Glue white strips of paper to the paper plate for the cheese, <strong>and</strong> stick on colored dots for<br />

pepperoni <strong>and</strong> black olives.<br />

The Sea Serpent<br />

(Translated <strong>and</strong> adapted by Alex<strong>and</strong>ra Corona. This is a traditional “London Bridge” type of<br />

game. Two children make a bridge with their h<strong>and</strong>s <strong>and</strong> the other children hold h<strong>and</strong>s <strong>and</strong> walk<br />

around <strong>and</strong> under the bridge. The l<strong>as</strong>t time everyone recites, “Tr<strong>as</strong>, tr<strong>as</strong>, tr<strong>as</strong>…,” the two<br />

children making the bridge “lock up” the child who is p<strong>as</strong>sing under the bridge <strong>and</strong> rock him or<br />

her back <strong>and</strong> forth inside the bridge.)<br />
