4 When and where can I register?<br />
The following table contains the registration dates for the 2011 academic year.<br />
If you would like to study through Unisa in 2011, please ensure that your registration form,<br />
supporting documentation and minimum fee reaches the university before the closing date<br />
for registration.<br />
Students must please take note that certain degrees are by selection and have earlier closing<br />
dates than the normal registration closing dates.<br />

Students applying for degrees (MBL, MBA, DBL) <strong>of</strong>fered by the Graduate School for Business<br />
Leadership (GSBL) must submit their applications directly to the GSBL. All enquiries related to<br />
these degrees must be directed to Tel: 011 652 0000 or email: sbl@unisa.ac.za.<br />
Unisa’s registration <strong>of</strong>fices are open from Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 15:45.<br />
The university is not open on public holidays.<br />
Unisa <strong>of</strong>fices will close at 12:00 on 24 December 2010 and<br />
will re-open on 3 January 2011.<br />
Students who register for a master’s degree, the curriculum <strong>of</strong> which includes undergraduate<br />
semester modules or other year modules, must register for such module(s) before the closing<br />
date included in the relevant my Registration @ Unisa brochure.<br />
Please note that if a student applies for registration before the closing date, but his or her<br />
registration cannot be finalised due to the admission process which can take up to 6-8 weeks, it<br />
will be to the students’ advantage to postpone the acceptance <strong>of</strong> his or her registration to 19 July<br />
2011 for the 2012 acedemic year. The <strong>University</strong> will inform the student for which academic year<br />
he or she will be registered.<br />
Exceptions<br />
A student who wishes to register for the first time for the MSc degree in Chemistry, the MTh<br />
degree, or the MA degree in Biblical Studies or Religious Studies may also register as from 19 July<br />
for the following academic year.<br />
