(a) a <strong>South</strong> <strong>Africa</strong>n LLB<br />

degree; or<br />

(b) a foreign LLB (minimum<br />

four years)<br />

Or (c) the degree <strong>of</strong><br />

Baccalaureus Procurationis,<br />

plus one <strong>of</strong> the following:<br />

(i) successful completion <strong>of</strong><br />

the attorney’s admission<br />

examinations; or<br />

(ii) four approved LLB<br />

modules, selected from the<br />

elective modules <strong>of</strong> the LLB<br />

degree<br />

or (d) a foreign three year LLB<br />

degree plus one <strong>of</strong> the<br />

following:<br />

(i) admission to the legal<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>ession in the relevant<br />

country; or<br />

(ii) four approved LLB<br />

modules, selected from the<br />

elective modules <strong>of</strong> the LLB<br />

degree<br />

or a relevant postgraduate<br />

diploma in a relevant field<br />

or (e) a foreign LLM degree<br />

(2) Students choosing a paper<br />

will be assumed to have<br />

required knowledge at an<br />

undergraduate level to enable<br />

them to embark on a study <strong>of</strong><br />

the LLM paper.<br />

(3) Before a student’s<br />

application for registration<br />

can be considered, his/her<br />

academic acceptability must<br />

be confirmed by the College<br />

registering the dissertation<br />

for MPLLW91 at any time <strong>of</strong><br />

periods. If a student wishes to<br />

complete his/her studies in one<br />

year (students must adhere<br />

to the registration dates) he/<br />

she must register and pass the<br />

research methodology module<br />

(MPLLW91) as early as possible<br />

to be able to register for the<br />

dissertation for that specific<br />

academic year Students will be<br />

assumed to have the required<br />

undergraduate knowledge<br />

for any course. The College<br />

Executive will confirm the<br />

academic acceptability <strong>of</strong> each<br />

student<br />
