LT. WILLIAM J. HEAPHY has entered Air<br />
Force flight training at Reese Air Force Base, Tex.<br />
REV. A. J. KANDATHIL <strong>of</strong> St. Thomas U.,<br />
Fredericton, Ne\%* Brunswick, Canada, has begun a<br />
"Save a Family Plan" program to help ease the<br />
thousands who die <strong>of</strong> hunger each day. Fr. Kandathil,<br />
an India native who received a doctorate<br />
from ND in '60, sends donated money directly to<br />
needy families in India. Tliis program eliminates the<br />
middlemen who <strong>of</strong>ten s<strong>of</strong>ten the cfTectivencss <strong>of</strong> a<br />
larger program.<br />
