11. WATER AND SANITATION (WASH)<br />
To prevent the outbreak of water and sanitation related disease as a result of the floods<br />
and landslides, ensuring gender sensitivity in the approaches and activities.<br />
Specific Objectives<br />
Ensure access to safe water, hygiene education and temporary sanitation and<br />
bathing facilities for the displaced populations, particularly those residing in camps.<br />
Ensure that displaced populations are provided with basic hygiene supplies and are<br />
properly informed on behavior practices related to water, sanitation and hygiene.<br />
Ensure all equipment and facilities are provided and displaced populations are<br />
empowered to maintain the cleanliness of camps / houses in which they reside.<br />
