Alumni News
will include the Alumni Golf Tournament at
The Tribute at The Colony, alumni classes
taught by faculty like Tom Adams, the Spring
Alumni Dinner honoring 40-year faculty
members John Stutsman, Bobbi Mailer, and
Alice Oltrogge and Distinguished Alumnus Kurt
Eichenwald ’79, the Family Cookout, and much
more. As always, Alumni Weekend will have
something for everyone.
As stated in their early planning, the Reunion
Committees will help drive a majority of the
traffic for the Weekend. As we enter the last few
months of planning, Committee members will
be reaching out to every single classmate,
making sure they know about the weekend and
encouraging them to join old friends and faculty
members back home on campus.
Committees will also continue to encourage
participation in the Reunion Class Gift program.
Since 2007, Reunion classes have done their part
to build excitement around giving to the School
and to grow the St. Mark’s Fund. With their help,
total Alumni giving to the St. Mark’s Fund
continues to eclipse $1 million each year, and
for the past several, Alumni have given more
than current parents. The 10 Reunion Classes
also account for nearly 40 percent of total
Alumni giving to the St. Mark’s Fund each year.
The work of the Reunion Committees is
invaluable to the School. They challenge themselves
and other classes by raising expectations.
They ask every member of the Alumni Association,
in a Reunion year, to pay tribute to the impact
that St. Mark’s had in their own life and to help
strengthen the School for generations to come.
This year, several classes have their sights set
on breaking Reunion records. The Class of 2008
is working tirelessly to set a 5th Reunion Record
for participation. The Class of 2003 has already
set a 10th Reunion Record for giving and is
planning to raise the bar even further.
As Alumni Weekend and the Reunions
approach, the Classes of 3’s & 8’s will continue to
do their part to drive attendance and participation.
Their shared mission will certainly leave a mark
on campus to challenge future generations.
