CAE offers Reading, Writing, Science and Maths classes at many levels in a friendly and supportive adult learning environment. Study part-time or full-time, day or evening. Classes range from beginner to year 10 equivalent. Certificate I in General Education for Adults (Introductory) For beginner level students who need literacy and numeracy skills. Develop an individual learning plan and use simple texts for reading and writing experience. Study maths and money handling in everyday situations and practice measurements. Learn computer skills, practice writing texts, use the internet and develop keyboard skills. Work with more complex texts to develop areas of spelling, punctuation and vocabulary. Create and read a variety of texts for learning, personal purposes and for participation in the community. Study maths and explore areas such as statistics, measurement, and other formulae. Study science: chemicals, energy, force, matter and the impact of science in the community. C CAE (Melbourne CBD) B Box Hill Certificate III in General Education for Adults This course has been developed to enable students to consolidate their literacy skills. Students will be developing a learning plan to assist them to achieve their main study goals. Through the course students will be reading and writing a wide variety of complex texts that will help students develop confidence in a range of everyday life or work situations. Students may wish to continue with their maths studies areas of their choice, such as at a TAFE Institute or university. WRITING & LITERATURE WRITING INSPIRATION Beginning Creative Writing Beginning Creative Writing is a fun and informative course perfectly suited for those people interested in writing, but unsure how to get started.
