(Level 2) - Intermediate
This five day hands-on short
course builds on the skills
introduced in the Level 1
Grooming Short Course.
The Level 2 Short Course is
designed for those interested
in a career in dog grooming.
It teaches practical grooming
techniques, safe clipper
& scissor use & provides
valuable experience in client
communications & the daily
function of a working salon.
All equipment and dogs are
provided. Level 1 Introduction
to Dog Grooming is a
prerequisite for Level 2.

Dog Grooming Skills
(Level 3) - Professional
This course builds on the
Level 2 Dog Grooming Short
Course. It is designed to
make participants ready for
employment in the grooming
industry. This course builds on
existing skills to improve the
grooming speeds, efficiency
and confidence of participants
and will teach participants how
to work more effectively by
providing practical experience
under pressure. Students must
have completed Levels 1 &
2 Dog Grooming in order to
undertake Level 3.

Dog Grooming Skills –
Professional Recognition
This one day course is an
intensive version of the Level
3 Professional Dog Grooming
short course. Successful
completion provides
professional recognition for
experienced dog groomers.
Applicants must be able to
perform breed specific clips to
industry standards on time in a
real life salon environment. Our
experienced grooming teacher
will assess your practical
ability to work effectively
in the grooming industry
through direct observation
and questioning. Applicants
are required to groom and
hydrobath two dogs of
different breeds to professional
standards in 5 hours.

Perform Aseptic Surgery
This course covers performing
aseptic surgery on rodents for
scientific research to enable
you to comply with institutional
protocols, policies and

Laboratory Mice
Designed for people working
with mice in the research field,
this two-day course is ideal
for new animal technicians
or researchers with limited
practical experience working
with this species. As mice
are a popular animal model
understanding the basic
biology, needs and behaviour
will help researchers develop
better experiments and
identify problems sooner.
Learn practical techniques

technicians working with

Reptile Keeping - Introduction

Dog Grooming
Skills (Level 1)
- Introduction
This five day course is designed for those interested in becoming
dog groomers. No dog grooming experience is needed, although
animal handling skills and experience are useful. Practical hydrobathing,
grooming and basic pet care constitute a large part of
this course. Information on how to run a successful business and
personal skills required to become a successful dog groomer are
included with a reference book on dog grooming techniques. All
equipment and dogs are provided.
