The Level 2 Short Course is<br />

in a career in dog grooming.<br />
It teaches practical grooming<br />
techniques, safe clipper<br />
& scissor use & provides<br />
valuable experience in client<br />
communications & the daily<br />
function <strong>of</strong> a working salon.<br />
All equipment and dogs are<br />
provided. Level 1 Introduction<br />
to Dog Grooming is a<br />
prerequisite for Level 2.<br />

industry. This <strong>course</strong> builds on<br />
existing skills to improve the<br />
grooming speeds, efficiency<br />
and confidence <strong>of</strong> participants<br />
and will teach participants how<br />
to work more effectively by<br />
providing practical experience<br />
under pressure. Students must<br />
have completed Levels 1 &<br />
2 Dog Grooming in order to<br />
undertake Level 3.<br />

Dog Grooming <strong>Skills</strong> –<br />
Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Recognition<br />
This one day <strong>course</strong> is an<br />
intensive version <strong>of</strong> the Level<br />
3 Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Dog Grooming<br />
short <strong>course</strong>. Successful<br />
completion provides<br />
pr<strong>of</strong>essional recognition for<br />
experienced dog groomers.<br />
Applicants must be able to<br />
perform breed specific clips to<br />
industry standards on time in a<br />
real life salon environment. Our<br />
experienced grooming teacher<br />
will assess your practical<br />
ability to work effectively<br />
in the grooming industry<br />
through direct observation<br />
and questioning. Applicants<br />
are required to groom and<br />
hydrobath two dogs <strong>of</strong><br />
different breeds to pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
standards in 5 hours.<br />

- Introduction<br />
This five day <strong>course</strong> is designed for those interested in becoming<br />
dog groomers. No dog grooming experience is needed, although<br />
animal handling skills and experience are useful. Practical hydrobathing,<br />
grooming and basic pet care constitute a large part <strong>of</strong><br />
this <strong>course</strong>. Information on how to run a successful business and<br />
personal skills required to become a successful dog groomer are<br />
included with a reference book on dog grooming techniques. All<br />
equipment and dogs are provided.<br />
