16. By Q4 2008, all urban local<br />
authorities within the tuart belt will<br />
have an active program to conserve<br />
tuart trees in their grassed parks,<br />
favouring methods using natural<br />
regeneration.<br />
• Contact local authorities concerned, <strong>and</strong> where<br />
necessary conduct meetings with their representatives<br />
<strong>and</strong> instruct them in how to identify <strong>and</strong> record tuart trees.<br />
• Instruct the local authorities concerned on suitable<br />
methods, especially the creation of garden beds for the<br />
natural regeneration of tuart <strong>and</strong> the planting of species of<br />
the tuart understorey.<br />
