TARGETS: DEVELOPMENT PLANS<br />

AIM: Refine planning initiatives for tuart conservation <strong>and</strong> management<br />

34. A st<strong>and</strong>ard is developed for tuart woodl<strong>and</strong> conservation <strong>and</strong> management<br />

relative to regional <strong>and</strong> local statutory planning processes<br />

AIM: Provide for tuart conservation in regional/local management plans<br />

35. Provision for the conservation <strong>and</strong> management of tuart woodl<strong>and</strong>s is<br />

provided in Natural Resource <strong>Management</strong> strategies, CALM management<br />

plans, local authority plans <strong>and</strong> other statutory plans.<br />

36. A report to Government is completed on tuart conservation <strong>and</strong><br />

management achievements <strong>and</strong> future directions.<br />

37. Planning <strong>and</strong> building codes for urban development are amended to take<br />

account of tuart conservation.<br />

TARGETS: INCENTIVES<br />

AIM: Improve existing incentive schemes for tuart conservation <strong>and</strong><br />

management.<br />

38. Identify the best means for ensuring on-going income from tuart<br />

conservation <strong>and</strong> management incentives.<br />

AIM: Improve agency arrangements for tuart conservation <strong>and</strong><br />

management<br />

39. Establish a ‘one- stop- approach for Government agency information.<br />

40. A conservation trust is established for tuart woodl<strong>and</strong>s<br />

AIM: Develop new incentive schemes for tuart conservation <strong>and</strong><br />

management<br />

41. An ‘incentives toolkit’ for l<strong>and</strong>holders is developed <strong>and</strong> implemented<br />

AIM: Develop markets for tuart conservation <strong>and</strong> management<br />

42. The amount of corporate <strong>and</strong> private sector investment in tuart<br />

conservation <strong>and</strong> management grows by 5 per cent each year over the next<br />

decade.<br />
