Conveying the right image
Light emitting diodes are proving to be the ideal choice for retail outlets. In the flagship store of Apivita,
LED modules can be found not only on the shelving but also behind a light diffuser ceiling.

in vibrant colours reflects the brand image. The three products lines are
beautifully displayed by a sophisticated lighting system that is also kind
to the sensitive ingredients.
Portraying the image
Dimitris Naskias from the Athens office of DIAUC was tasked with
planning the lighting system. The renowned Greek planning office sees
light as an art and has therefore focused on aesthetic lighting solutions
that have outstanding cost/performance ratios, meet user needs and also
take account of ergonomic aspects. Their work is based on extensive
know-how in all areas of lighting technology. This covers conventional
lamps, light emitting diodes and fibre optics, RGB colour mixing and

High-quality natural products are increasing in popularity in the cosmetic
and wellness sector. The success of the Apivita brand is excellent
evidence of this trend. This Greek company was founded in 1979 and
specializes in health products for the face, body and hair, paying enormous
respect to the traditions of Greek aromatherapy, with only natural
lighting management. DIAUC is an expanding company involved in
a large number of projects including offices, shops, restaurants, bars,
cafes and domestic premises. For these projects it has long relied on
the expertise of TridonicAtco for ballasts, lighting control components
and LED modules, and was able to convince Apivita of the benefits
of these innovative products.
Mediterranean ingredients being used. The soaps and shampoos are
based largely on bee products such as honey, pollen, Royal Jelly and
propolis. Natural oils and extracts from plants, fruit and vegetables are
also used. These high-quality natural products are sold mainly through
more than 4,000 drugstores in Greece. Apivita is now the market leader
in Greece and is expanding its activities worldwide. Its product lines
will be offered in selected stores and spa centres in 16 countries.
DIAUC listens closely to what the customer wants, so its lighting
concept for this prestigious store reflects Apivita’s corporate philosophy.
The general lighting provides soft, calm, relaxing light in warm colours,
while the products are highlighted on the shelves in daylight white by
TALEXXstrip P521-2 LED modules. The specific properties of the LED
are of great benefit here. Their light for example does not contain any
ultraviolet or infrared radiation, and because they produce very little heat

products. To convey the philosophy of the company and the benefits
of its products more effectively, Apivita opened its first flagship store
in 2006 in Kolonaki, a district of Athens near the city centre.
