Product PC PRO T8 for brilliant system efficiency The successful PC PRO T8 ballasts with new “ ” technology from TridonicAtco now have improved properties. Always room for improvement Superb lamp management has always been a characteristic feature PC PRO T8 electronic ballasts. The tried and tested ASIC guarantee high levels of lighting comfort and quality. A high level of integration and a wealth of further innovative functions are the impressive results – and with above-average system efficiency. The PC PRO T8 ballasts – in their one and two-lamp versions – operate T8 fluorescent lamps with wattages from 18 W to 58 W not only in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications but with innovative added value. Minimal power loss Als Now more than ever before energy efficiency is the crucial factor for many applications. This aspect has been improved in the PC PRO T8 ballasts as a result of reducing the power loss through improved thermal management. This positive effect comes directly from the use of technology. Less heat is produced and therefore the thermal load on the ECG is lower, which increases the reliability of the device. The new PC PRO T8 generation has a greater thermal safety margin (up to 135 %) with respect to the limit temperature at the smoothing capacitor. As the operating temperature effectively determines the life of the device a reduction in the constant load of 10 K at the capacitor translates into a doubling of life – just a reduction of 1 K leads to a considerable improvement in reliability. Added value guaranteed PC PRO T8 ballasts are designed for universal application. A lifetime of 50,000 hours at an ambient temperature of up to +60 °C brings long-term benefits. Economy counts Instead of being on permanently, luminaires operated with innovative PC PRO T8 ballasts can be switched on as and when required by means of presence sensors or ambient light sensors. This significantly reduces the energy consumption of the lighting system and makes the entire system more economical. Long device and lamp life also contribute to this improved economy, and because of exemplary gentle hot restarts even frequent on/off switching has no adverse effect.
